Dear Parent(s),
I feel privileged to be your child’s teacher. It’s going to be a super great year at Hyatt Elementary. I will give you a little information about myself. I began my education at Linden Elementary School at the age of 4, attended Linden Middle and graduated from Linden High School in 1986. Mott Community College is the first college I attended, and received my Associate’s Degree. Then, I received my Bachelor Degree in Teaching at Eastern Michigan University, and further proceeded to earn an endorsement in Special Education. My Master’s Degree, Art of Teaching, from Marygrove was earned in 2000 and another Master's Degree in 2014 from Marygrove titled, Educational Technology. I am excited to create with technology in our classroom to a higher level.
I student taught in a first grade classroom, in South Lyon, in 1997. I also student taught in a Severely Emotionally Impaired classroom at Linden Elementary for a year. I began working full time for Linden ever since. I have been teaching for 16 years and have taught special education, 4th and 2nd grade. I feel the insight I have within the curriculum throughout the grade levels will benefit your child.
I have 3 children. Starting with my youngest, McKayla, Jarren, and Cody (Freshman in college. Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Differences in opinions bring us closer and I can always learn from your experiences and talents.
